A Shiraz carpet is a type of Persian rug made in the villages around the city of Shiraz, in the Iranian province of Fars.
The design is geometric, sometimes featuring a pole medallion in the center. Shiraz carpets use red and brown colors and often use diamond-shaped lozenges as the primary motif.
Borders often have smaller bands around a larger band with palm and pine leaf designs.

Shiraz Persian Rug
A Shiraz carpet is a type of Persian rug made in the villages around the city of Shiraz, in the Iranian province of Fars.The carpets are manufactured with a ropy, shiny and often natural dyed hand spun yarn, that provides a very durable surface and beautiful colour scale.
The design is geometric, sometimes featuring a pole medallion in the centre. Shiraz carpets use red and brown colors and often use diamond-shaped lozenges as the primary motif.T
Borders often have smaller bands around a larger band with palm and pine leaf designs.It is 100% wool and Hand Made.Has Abrash and many areas of wear as shown on the pictures.100%  hand knotted wool- Made in Hamadan -IRAN Pictures are accurate as possible, the real color might be slightly different from photos,different displays has been tested and found out that the rug in one is brighter and on other one is darker from real color and definitely the lighting will affect the reflection, pictures have been taken under fluorescent light, if you have iPhone6 the pictures are very close to real colors.and also pictures have taken from light and dark side , any hand knotted rug has a light side and dark side due to the nap of the wool.Unprocessed wool arrives at the hand spinning facility in large bales, the wool is then cleaned by hand, to remove sticks and to break up the clumps. The cleaned wool is spun into the yarns by using a traditional spinning wheel. Whether it’s wool, silk or cotton it all starts with the material selection. The big piles of wool are hung onto a large rack and then submerged into the dye. The dye is heated to a near-boiling temperature for a predetermined amount of time. Depending on the weather, the dyed yarn is then set to be dried in the sunlight for one to three days. Pot dyeing and vegetable dyes (natural) are sometimes being used in this process. Before the yarn is dyed, it is first washed. This process happens by submerging the wool into a detergent bath, and then wrung out several times. The yarn is washed again in clean water to remove all remnants of detergent
